Thanks!

Talk to me about ipods for music. How does it connect?

What do i need to know? what should i ignore? Fairly well organized stable price due to Apple price setting? Better to purchase at xyz than sams?

Is it better to get an actual industry standard ipod than other mp3 player for dockability and stability of mp3 playing?

What do i need to know?

ah, now edited to ask more: i want to back up every CD toad's made that holds 80 minutes of music. knowing how many 'songs' an ipod holds wont help me. the beatles songs are three minutes, the blues up to 12. i need data in 'hours' so i can count cds we have made of LP's/80min blocks and find out total number of gigs needed for hurricane/natural disaster backup, plus additional time for music industry mfg songs downloaded/cds etc.
It's legal to make a copy of your cd to put on the ipod right?

16 songs per cd, ipod classic holds 30,000 = less than two thousand cds worth of songs. 1875 worth of 16 songs per cd. Yes some are 12, but most of toad's made ones are very close to 80 mins of music, approx 16 songs.

Zero points. We owe V amount. We want to know at what interest percentage rate based on 5-7 grand refinancing costs we would be 'saving money'.

This seems to help: http://www.dinkytown.net/java/MortgageRefinance.html

my question won't use a 'mortgage calculator' function afaik because that tells you 'based on income' how much house you can afford.

We were told the rate we were going to be given was 4.325 or 4.125. We were sent paperwork for 7.7777. Insulting since we stated "We want a lower interest rate, we don't want money back, all we want is a lower interest rate to pay 'less money to the bank in the long run.'

That's what i said. Toad says that the individual heard or the home office dweeb decided i said "I want to pay less per month" or i want to lower our monthly payment. That is NOT what i said.

Cramming

SO i learned a new verb, cramming, to cram. IT's some unauthorized company putting charges or changes on somebody else's phone bill. AT&T told me that's the verb, the word for what happened.

How did this happen? ATT won't say or can't say.

We've been charged by some company called ILD Teleservices, INC 8.94 for voicemail set up. We never asked for voicemail. One, we have an answering device, a physical bit of plastic and metal and whatever else is in there. Two, toad hates voice mail. He doesn't like phone calls and if it's that important people can call back or leave a message on our answering machine which requires pushing a button, not getting 'on the phone'.

AT&T said i have to call the ILD _again_ first call was in dec for the billing in nov, to ask for the charges to be removed. I think that's a pain and slightly unfair. I thought (edited) it's their breech of billing i should think. I suppose since i'm not a lawyer i don't have the proper answers or terms to use. Now that i've read up on it, i now know i'm the one who has to fight with these creeps at ILD and report them. So i am reporting them. I also read since the monopoly was broken up, AT&T is required to do this billing for them.

I want to report this so that ILD can be 'watched' tho I have no idea by whom, i guess the FCC but i really don't know if that's their job. This is a billing scam.

I called ILD for the second time since they never refunded the november charge, who transfered me and claimed i'd called another number from their 800. If there is a billing for that call i will be even more annoyed.

ILD claims they will credit, but they said this previously about the november bill and it's still not off, by sending ATT a notice of credit for my money back and this will take two billing cycles. So, i'm out 8.94 unless some crap lying company sends AT&T that money back, and now they claim it will be charged again next month.

ATT did 'put a block' on my account so no more charges can be placed on my account. We never signed up for voicemail but i have no idea if ATT's block will really do anything since they billed us in the first place for something we didn't authorize and they won't do anything about it themselves, they say we have to do something about it.

This is all a scam.

So, i have to figure out whom to report this to. http://www.help4srs.org/finance/cram.htm said read your phone bill carefully. Well i did, but that doesn't mean that we won't be out this money and or get charged again, and or have another scam unless att's block works. I did file an FCC report based on the FCC page. I don't know if it will help and if it's the only thing I should do or not. Looking at better business bureau page at the moment.

Tho, we could cancel ATT and get phone over the internet, especially if that's unlikely to be crammed, but who knows. I'd never heard of this before.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3078500/ apparently tho it's an old scam that is resurging.

from: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/cell_phones/ild.html
Thus, any consumer whose local telephone bill includes an unauthorized charge from ILD should immediately call the toll-free number next to the charge to find out what the charge is for. If the charge is unauthorized, the consumer should politely insist that the ILD representative investigate further and report back in 30 days.

The ceo evil man thief is in my opinion, this guy gleened from the websites about his business. May his karmactic kickback be ever so full of all the time he's wasted for all the people who have had to deal with him, and all the heartburn, indigestion etc. You'd think he'd be croaked by now with all that high blood pressure wouldn't you? If it karmacticaly hit him all at once you'd think he'd explode.
Corporate Information

Fred Lloyd
Vice President, Strategic Planning
ILD Telecommunications, Inc.
5000 Sawgrass Village Circle, Suite 30
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082
Office: (904) 273-2440
Tollfree: 1(800)433-4518
Fax: (904) 285-3616
Email: fred.lloyd@ildmail.com
If ILD fails to do so, consumers should file a complete report using the ConsumerAffairs.com complaint form, with copies to the Federal Trade Commission and their state Public Utilities Commission.

We're waiting. we were charge in november and it's january twenty three and no refund has been issued as far as AT*T knows.

Apple cinnamon sponge cake with sweet creme glace. That sounds good.

The dude who did the invocation for the lunch, they said his name and his title. his voice is luscious.

At the Inaugration:
So, what's the deal with no hats? I was glad to see T. Kennedy and Aretha Franklin smart enough to wear hats in that cold weather. I guess maybe they aren't as bald as I am.. .maybe their hair keeps them warm, tho I don't think the President's hair is thicker than mine by much. Didn't his head get chilly? Brrr!

What was that with the Oath being spoken by Roberts. He seemed to not judge the rate properly at which to spit out the words, and did he leave stuff out? Forget what he was to say?

I thought it made the whole "Oath" repeat after me sound like a mistake filled paragraph. I think he should have read it from a card if he couldn't remember what to say. It made Mr. Obama look, at first, to me, to be making a mistake or two.

I don't have tivo or instant replay. NBC text online claims Roberts screwed it up. Something wasn't exactly right.

Mrs. Obama was wearing frog green gloves and greenish tint outfit on Frog Day. So, why wasn't she wearing red, white, or blue?

The power went out for about forty seven.two minutes today. It might have been more or less but i like those numbers. Anyway, the answering machine is unplugged so when the phone rang i knew it probably wasn't leslie since she called yesterday.

I was attempting to make dinner. It's still cooking now. However, I did answer the phone. A guy asked for Jack. Sorry, NO Jack here. This was obviously not the answer he was expecting and asked for Jack Ponder. No one called Jack here. I skipped the usual response to little kid voices, "What number did you try to dial" at first. He asked incredulous that this wasn't the right number if perhaps i was wrong.

So then I asked, and he replied he called information and they gave him 'this one'. Well, perhaps, I thought, but it's not whom you want. I told him there was a Ponder's Antiques in the town next up the road, but he said, "I wanted the landscaper, Do you have a phone book, I'm over in Mobile."

Okay, That i can do, i think, without burning the chicken. I looked up Ponder Landscaping online and got a number, 990 9209 and repeated it a few times, he claimed he couldn't hear me. No real surprise there, i've been sick and i'm cooking dinner and our phone sucks.

Mobile phone directory information doesn't usually carry Baldwin Co, so he'd have been sol if he's at a pay phone, or trying to use a cell with only a few minutes left, or whatever.

If it's a plot to see if i'm home, well, i am. If it's a plot to see if have a phone book, well i do, but i didn't use it, i checked online. It was faster and easier and less smelly for me that way. Smelly. Yea. phone books stink. The ink gets me. I don't use em unless i have to.

So, thanks Ed for all the phone numbers you've looked up for me, and anybody else who has done so, and now it's paid forward a bit. :)

and now the phone is ringing again
